Nobody at work will ever correct your English. It's too rude. So the same mistakes survive for years. Asides listens to your own microphone, in your own browser, and nothing it hears ever leaves this machine.

What happens
None of it runs yet. Asides is being built in the open, and these four steps are the shape it is being built to.
Asides is a web page. Nothing to install, no account to make, and no bot that joins your call. A participant named "English Coach" would tell the whole room that someone present is being coached.
Your first visit downloads them into the browser. That load is slow, and it is the only one: after it, the models sit on your machine and the work happens there.
Press record and speak the way you already do. Only your own microphone is captured, so nobody else in the room or on the call is recorded at all.
Asides stays quiet while you're speaking and reports when you stop, while it's still in your head. When there was nothing worth saying, it says nothing. Silence is part of the design.
The report
A full list of every mistake after every call is how you teach someone to dread their inbox. Asides reports once, after you stop talking, and only about what it can actually stand behind.

Privacy
There is no server. Asides is a static page, and the models are built to run inside your browser, so this isn't a policy you're being asked to trust. It's just where the code runs.
Your audio is never sent. There is no transfer to secure and no copy on a server to delete. It is processed in the browser that recorded it.
There is no manager view. Not restricted, not permissioned, not hidden. It was never built.
Only your microphone is captured. Nobody else in the room or on the call is recorded, so there is nothing of theirs to discard.
There is nobody to enroll you. No server and no account, so there is no list for anyone to put you on.
If your English could be used against you, you'd never speak freely enough to improve it.
